Understanding and Implementing Harm Reduction Strategies (2-days)

Date/Time: 3rd & 4th July 2012 (10:00am-4:30pm)

This workshop is aimed at those who want to develop an understanding of harm reduction and gain the skills needed to deliver an initial harm reduction intervention.  The workshop is aimed at workers and volunteers in the drugs field.

Content includes:

  • Harm reduction – Irish policy and context
  • Injecting – injecting techniques and sites
  • Health risks associated with injecting practice
  • Providing harm reduction information and injecting equipment to clients
