Students warned about “bad batch” of drugs

Students have been warned about a potentially dangerous batch of LSD and amphetamines.

Gardaí have made contact with students’ unions in Dublin after a number of students were hospitalised in the last few days.

Gardaí confirmed that an investigation was underway into drug dealing activity in the Pearse St area, but could not confirm if this was linked to colleges or students specifically.

A spokesperson for UCD Students Union told TheJournal.ie that they had been asked to spread the message by gardaí, but said that they were not told if the message was specifically aimed at their students.
