Recovery Academy of Ireland information morning Thursday 22 December

What: Membership morning
When: 10am to noon, Thursday, 22 December 2016
Where: Soilse, Basement Offices, 16-22 Green Street, Dublin 7
Why: To join the Recovery Academy of Ireland and support recovery in YOUR community

What is the Recovery Academy of Ireland?
The Recovery Academy is a co-op where everyone who joins becomes a member and has an equal vote and an equal say. We are looking for people to help plan – and take part – in a wide variety of activities. The goal is to challenge the stigma around addiction, hear the voices of people in recovery, and make recovery an acceptable and supported reality within communities.

Why should I join?
Want to meet up socially with others in recovery? Join the academy and help organise drug and alcohol free social activities. Interested in influencing public views on addiction and recovery? Join the academy and get involved in community research (learn new skills too!).
Want to promote recovery across Ireland? Join the academy and volunteer to help organise the 2017 National Recovery Walk. (1,400 people walking for recovery in 2016 – let’s double that for next year!)

Who else can join?
Everyone – people in recovery, friends, families, advocates for recovery, projects. It costs €10 to join but it could be the best €10 you’ll ever spend.
