Poll: Would raising alcohol prices in Ireland curtail dangerous drinking?

This week an Oireachtas committee as urged to “turn off the tap of cheap alcohol”.

Professor Frank Murray of the Royal College of Physicians said increasing minimum alcohol prices, which would particularly affect alcohol sales in supermarkets, would result in “immediate and substantial benefits”.
