Over 16,000 emergency admissions as a result of alcohol over five years

The figures show that there were 3,357 such admissions in 2011; 3,493 in 2012; 3,204 in 2013; 3,162 in 2014; and 3,064 in 2015.

Letterkenny University Hospital had one of the highest numbers of alcohol-related emergency inpatient admissions over this period, with 1,063 such admissions.
