Louth drug awareness booklet launched

A drug awareness booklet for County Louth has been launched by Sinn Fein TD Gerry Adams who said it was ' a first step' in helping to tackle the scourge of drug addiction.

Mr Adams, who launched the booklet in Drogheda last Friday, said many communities in the county have to cope with the 'many human and social difficulties that arise as a result of addictions'.

The Sinn Fein president said: 'In visits to communities throughout the constituency I have met many very good people working hard within reducing budgets to help individual addicts, those at risk and families and communities suffering the social consequences of drug addiction.
