A Donegal judge has taken the unusual step of imposing a minimum unit price for alcohol to end a price war which has been on-going in a sea side town.
Two night clubs owned by rival cousins in Bundoran has seen shots sold in one for as little as 50 cent while the second offered unlimited free drink for a €20 cover charge.
The order was made following concerns expressed by local parents.
The lowest price any club now can charge for any single measure, spirits or beer in Bundoran is €2.50.
