Grants
The East Coast Regional Drugs Task Force based in the East Coast of Wicklow aims to significantly reduce the harm caused to individuals, families and communities by the misuse of drugs. To establish, maintain and support services to enable individuals who misuse drugs to achieve and maintain a drug free outcome.
Purpose of Grant
The East Coast Regional Drug Task Force operates a Small Grant Scheme under the Drugs/ Alcohol Prevention and Education Pillar of the National Drugs Strategy. The ECRDTF now invites applications for funding under the Small Grant Scheme from suitably qualified Community groups, Youth groups and Voluntary organisations to develop once off drugs & alcohol education programmes and training initiatives that will generate awareness, help inform and increase the capacity of communities to address problem drug & alcohol use in their community .
All applications must be made on a 2013 application form and the Terms and Conditions agreed. All grants will be assessed using a scoring matrix. This scheme is governed by the Prevention and Education subcommittee. Grants are not for the purpose of funding individual project’s needs or for the purchase of capital items .Grants will not exceed €2,500 with priority given to local groups.
Who can apply?
Local voluntary, Community and Youth groups from the ECRDTF catchment area can apply and National groups and organisations who wish to run a once off initiative in the ECRDTF catchment in partnership with Local voluntary, Community and Youth groups from the ECRDTF catchment area can apply.
