Taking place this 4 - 17 February in cinemas throughout Dublin, the programme also includes a very special visit from beloved children’s author, Dame Jacqueline Wilson http://bit.ly/2imebRa and two of this year’s Oscar-nominees for Best Animated Feature: The Red Turtle http://bit.ly/2hZS0gy  and My Life as a Courgette http://bit.ly/2hUyi8P.

The varied programme offers something for students of all ages providing them with access to a greater range of cultural cinema and filmmaking experiences. Some film screenings will also come with an educational pack for the teacher’s use.

This year ADIFF is delighted to work with Drugs.ie to present the entries from the Drugs.ie ‘Let’s Talk about Drugs’ National Youth Media Awards Short Video Category. This annual competition encourages discussion of drug-related issues by inviting young people to produce a piece of original content relating to drug and alcohol use. This year the nominees in the short video category will have their premiere hosted at ADIFF. The winners from the four age categories will also receive an iPad mini and the overall winner will receive a prize of €2,000.

The deadline for entries to the National Youth Media Awards is 1 March 2017.
Fantastic Flix is expanding year on year engaging schools and families alike. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey to build the next generation of film fans.
