Almost €750k of ecstasy tablets seized in inner city garda raids

Gardai have seized 72,000 ecstasy tablets during a series of raids in Dublin city centre.

The tablets, with an approximate street value of €720,000 (pending analysis), were seized during the searches in the north and south inner city locations yesterday, gardai report.

A woman and two men, all aged in their forties, were arrested by gardai as part of the investigation.

They are currently detained at Store Street and Kevin Street garda stations.

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service and gardai from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau assisted by local garda drug units carried out the two search operations.
