Alcoholism to blame for liver disease crisis

The number of people being admitted to hospitals in England with liver problems as a result of alcoholism is rising dramatically, figures suggest.

In the past three years, the number of hospital admissions for patients with alcoholic liver disease has risen by about 1,000 a year.
