The number of people who reported ever using any form of cannabis in their lifetime in Ireland has increased from 17.4 percent of the population in 2002 2003 to 21.9 percent in 2006, 2007. This is to be expected as the period from onset of drug use lengthens as people get older.

A Civic Award for an Unsung Hero of Ann Liffey Low Threshold - Harm Reduction Services
Dr David Poole has received an Unsung Heroes Award from Dublin City Council. The award was presented to David by the Lord Mayor of Dublin Eibhlin Byrne at the Mansion House, David received his award for his many years of voluntary involvement with the Ana Liffey Drug Project.
