Former headshop owner jailed
The owner of a chain of headshops has been jailed for two years today for illegally importing Viagra-like products.
James Bellamy of Castle Court, Killiney Hill Road, Co Dublin told gardaí the prescription drugs were Chinese herbal erectile dysfunction pills.
James Bellamy imported 6,000 packages of the drugs bearing names like Sextasy and Ivory Wave.
The court heard tests on these "Viagra-type" products from China showed some contained anaesthetics, while the rest contained synthetic treatments for erectile dysfunction.
