Local initiatives best for tackling drugs

The importance of local, community-based drug projects has been reinforced in the findings of a UCC study conducted by the University’s School of Applied Social Studies. Commissioned by Youth Work Ireland Cork, which operates a drugs project in Gurranbraher, the report details the effectiveness of local harm reduction projects and their motivated, creative and skilled workers.
